Anna and Frankie are best friends.
Matt is Frankie's older brother, Anna has always had a secret crush on Matt until her birthday when she wishes Matt knew how she felt about him.
That day he kisses her and their secret love begin.
Matt makes Anna promise not to tell Frankie about them due to the fact that she is his younger sister and she should hear it from him.
Anna agrees.
It was only a short while until they went went on vacation when Matt wanted to tell Frankie.
Anna could handle that.
Then Matt dies and everything changes.

The Darkest Part of the Forest - Holly Black

On a scale from one to ten I would give this book a nine. 

I fell absolutely head over heals for the characters, 

the Severin especially. 

However each one of the characters surprised me in their own way. 

How Ben forced himself to destroy the love of his music.

How Hazel secretly loved Jake and how Jake secretly loved Hazel. 

The ending to the book is spectacular, 

of course I wish I knew what was going to happen next. 

A good book should always leaving would wanting more and Holly Black does exactly that.
